Among the 11 neglected tropical diseases prevalent in Nepal, 6 leprosy, lymphatic filariasis, snakebite, dengue, kala-azar, and rabies carry a higher burden in Lumbini Province. The PRERANA Project aims to comprehensively address these diseases through integrated and quality service delivery within the primary health system.

Project Objectives

  1. Health System Strengthening: Enhance the capacity and accountability of health stakeholders to address neglected tropical diseases.
  2. Community Empowerment: Prepare communities to act as active agents of change for their social protection, rights, and access to health services.
  3. Institutionalization of Quality Services: Ensure the institutionalization of quality services within the primary health system through evidence-based planning.
