Improving Public Financial Management of Bijuwa and Hathihawa VDC of Kapilvastu district throught Citisen engagement

Project Overview

Weak financial management systems and limited public participation in budgeting processes often result in inefficient allocation of resources and reduced trust in local governance. This project addressed these challenges by promoting participatory budgeting, public audits, and community monitoring mechanisms.

The initiative strengthened the capacity of local officials and community groups to improve financial transparency and encouraged citizens to actively engage in development planning and expenditure tracking. By fostering collaboration between local authorities and residents, the project aimed to ensure that public resources were used effectively and equitably.

Problem Statement
