Project Overview

Agriculture remains a primary source of livelihood for many rural households, yet limited technical knowledge, traditional farming methods, and lack of access to improved inputs often result in low productivity and income.

The Agriculture Skill Development Program addressed these challenges by providing hands-on training, demonstrations, and technical guidance to farmers. The project promoted improved crop production, livestock management, soil conservation, and market linkage strategies to enhance agricultural sustainability and economic resilience.

Problem Statement

Low agricultural productivity and limited access to modern farming knowledge hinder rural economic growth and food security. The program sought to strengthen farmers’ technical capacities, improve production systems, and increase income opportunities through skill development and institutional support at the district level.

Our Approach

Capacity Building & Training – Conducting skill-based training on improved agricultural practices.

Demonstration Plots – Showcasing modern techniques and improved seed varieties.

Livestock & Crop Management Support – Promoting integrated farming systems.

Market Linkage Facilitation – Connecting farmers with local markets and cooperatives.

Coordination with Local Authorities – Working closely with the District Samanbayan Samiti for effective implementation and sustainability.

Project Objectives

  1. Improve farmers’ technical knowledge and practical skills.
  2. Increase agricultural productivity and crop diversification.
  3. Enhance household income through market-oriented farming.
  4. Promote sustainable and climate-resilient agricultural practices.
