The Agriculture Skill Development Program, implemented in coordination with the District Samanbayan Samiti (District Coordination Committee), aimed to enhance the technical skills and productivity of local farmers. The program focused on improving modern farming practices, promoting sustainable agriculture, and increasing household income through capacity building and technical support.
Agriculture remains a primary source of livelihood for many rural households, yet limited technical knowledge, traditional farming methods, and lack of access to improved inputs often result in low productivity and income.
The Agriculture Skill Development Program addressed these challenges by providing hands-on training, demonstrations, and technical guidance to farmers. The project promoted improved crop production, livestock management, soil conservation, and market linkage strategies to enhance agricultural sustainability and economic resilience.
Low agricultural productivity and limited access to modern farming knowledge hinder rural economic growth and food security. The program sought to strengthen farmers’ technical capacities, improve production systems, and increase income opportunities through skill development and institutional support at the district level.
